Molly
Ott – USA
Molly Ott is a South
Carolinian (USA) with a BS in Visual Art and a BA in Spanish from Lander
University. She first began working three dimensionally in 2014 and from her
appreciation for thinking in multiple angles, she began to recognize the power
of interdisciplinary work for impressing upon people’s perspectives. Her
process is scientific in nature, from installation layout to material of the
subject, and history inspires her through culture and societal
cause-and-effect. The devotion to presenting hope and justice in her work is
best represented through found object materials and much of her art utilizes
the forms that different kinds of food make. She is attracted to objects that
are regularly overlooked and, by how she presents them, aiding a viewer in
making a personal connection with their value.
Ultimately all of what she wants to achieve as
an artist is summed up into encouraging people to cultivate their perspectives.
Her responsibility is to create an environment that is safe for people to grow
in new awareness.
Molly Ott es de Carolina del Sur (EE.UU.) con una licenciatura en arte
visual y una licenciatura en español de la Universidad de Lander. Primero
comenzó a trabajar en forma tridimensional en
2014 y desde su aprecio por el
pensamiento en múltiples ángulos, comenzó a reconocer el
poder del trabajo interdisciplinario para impresionar a las perspectivas de
las personas.
Su proceso es de naturaleza científica, desde la disposición de la
instalación hasta el material
del sujeto, y la historia la inspira a través de la cultura y la causa
social y el efecto.
La devoción a la presentación de la esperanza y la justicia en su trabajo
se representa mejor
a través de materiales de objetos
encontrados y gran parte de su arte utiliza las formas que
los diferentes tipos de alimentos hacen. Ella se siente atraída por los
objetos que son
regularmente pasados por alto y, por cómo ella los presenta, ayudando a
un espectador
a hacer una conexión personal con su valor.
En última instancia todo lo que quiere lograr como
artista se resume en animar a la gente a cultivar sus perspectivas. Su
responsabilidad es crear un ambiente seguro para que las personas crezcan en
una nueva conciencia.
Miguel Keerveld – Surinam
My
recent work reflects on the synergy of Idealism and Nihilism: a search for the
profound meaning of life and death. I call this urge CONTINUUM and use a
handwriting that is childish and crude to express it. The duality provided in
working together - on internal and external level - pushes me to see more than
opposites between the other and myself. My conviction is that integrating work
of others in my concepts, gives both parties the opportunity to collaborate and
exchange knowledge. Guiding young and old children using the arts helps me to
balance myself.
During
this residency, I will focus on the transformation of our planet. "What
are, or should the human values be in the 21st century?", is my driving
force. I hope the outcome reflects different culture elements, and especially
will respect nature. Life, Death and Rebirth are the main inspiration that push
me to create.
Mi trabajo reciente reflexiona sobre la
sinergia del idealismo y el nihilismo: una búsqueda del sentido profundo de la
vida y la muerte. Llamo a este impulso CONTINUUM y uso una letra que es
infantil y cruda para expresarlo. La dualidad proporcionada en el trabajo
conjunto -en nivel interno y externo- me empuja a ver más que opuestos entre el
otro y yo.
Mi convicción es que integrar el trabajo
de otros en mis conceptos, da a ambas partes la oportunidad de colaborar e
intercambiar conocimientos. Guiar a niños y jóvenes con las artes me ayuda a
equilibrarme.
Durante esta residencia, me centraré en la
transformación de nuestro planeta. "¿Cuáles son, o deberían ser los
valores humanos en el siglo 21?", Es mi fuerza motriz. Espero que el
resultado refleje diferentes elementos culturales, y sobre todo respetará la
naturaleza. Vida, Muerte y Renacimiento son la principal inspiración que me empujan
a crear.

Sofía Ramírez Tejeda - Peru
Egresó
de la escuela superior de Bellas Artes Corriente Alterna 2003 es
bachiller en artes plásticas por la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.
Es Arte
Terapeuta formada en la UNIFE y terapeuta Gestalt por el Centro Gestáltico del
Perú.
Ganó el
primer puesto en el concurso nacional de arte joven otorgado por el ICPNA y la
minera Cerro Verde.
Ha
participado en diversas exposiciones dentro y fuera del Perú entre las que
destacan:
Ms. Ramirez Tejeda graduated
from the Higher School of Fine Arts alternative education in 2003. She
holds a bachelor's degree in visual arts from the National University of San
Marcos (UNIFE).
She is an art therapist trained
at UNIFE and a Gestalt therapist at the Gestalt Center of Peru.
She won first place in the
national young art competition awarded by ICPNA and Cerro Verde.
She has participated in
several exhibitions inside and outside of Peru including:

Ms. Ramirez Tejeda was recently selected
for World Textile Art- Bianual International Textile Art, Montevideo,
Uruguay (October 2017).
Isabella Ridler – UK
Ms. Ridler is currently in her
third year studying a BA Fine Art Student at Central Saint Martins in London
studying a Diploma in Professional studies.
Currently, she is running my own online business where the concept
derives around anti-capitalism, economics, and environmental preservation
through recycling, reworking and revising second-hand clothing/items. She
values aesthetics and their aura in her artistic practice outcome. Ms. Ridler
enjoys the unpolished, tactile quality of a piece. She has been studying Native
American Culture, looking at how everything they made was from their
surroundings and by hand. In her own practice, she states that she has come to
realize her ideas have been coming from her surroundings. Everything has the potential to be an art
material and become a part of her work. She takes what’s there at the time and
asks herself how she can use it; the materials drive her ideas. The process is
important to her, as is her sketchbook. She explores and experiments with what she
finds and the ideas and concepts evolve from there. Ms. Ridler is interested in
themes of femininity, nature, higher consciousness and creativity through
trauma. In addition, she explores drawing, mix media paintings, and textiles.
La
Sra. Ridler está actualmente en su tercer año estudiando un bachiller en
Estudiante de Bellas Artes en Central Saint Martins en Londres estudiando un
Diploma en Estudios Profesionales. Actualmente, ella dirige mi propio negocio
en línea, donde el concepto se deriva en torno al anticapitalismo, la economía
y la preservación del medio ambiente a través del reciclaje, la reelaboración y
la revisión de ropa / artículos de segunda mano. Ella valora la estética y su
aura en su resultado de práctica artística. La Sra. Ridler disfruta de la
calidad sin pulir y táctil de una pieza. Ella ha estado estudiando la Cultura
Nativa Americana, mirando cómo todo lo que hacían era de su entorno ya mano. En
su propia práctica, afirma que se ha dado cuenta de que sus ideas han venido de

puede usarlo; Los materiales impulsan sus ideas. El proceso es importante para
ella, como es su cuaderno de bocetos. Ella explora y experimenta con lo que
ella encuentra y las ideas y los conceptos evolucionan de allí. La Sra. Ridler
está interesada en temas de feminidad, naturaleza, conciencia superior y
creatividad a través del trauma. Además, explora dibujos, pinturas de mezclas y
textiles.
Victoria Moyano Vargas- Argentina
- Artista plástica y escritora.
Sus esculturas realizadas principalmente en yeso y materiales
reciclables, invitan a una reflexión crítica sobre el ser humano y el contexto
actual. Tomó clases de escultura en el taller de la municipalidad de San Pedro,
en el Centro Universitario Regional de San Pedro, Bs As. y participó de
talleres de escultura con modelo vivo en la Asoc. Estímulo de Bellas Artes de
la Ciudad autónoma de Buenos Aires.
Pintora autodidacta. Sus cuadros abstractos, característicos por sus
líneas ondeadas y colores vivos, sugieren un mundo en constante cambio y
movimiento. Realizó exposiciones
individuales y colectivas en su país de origen y ha participado de exposición
colectiva en Cádiz, España, por su escultura “Siglo XXI” seleccionada en el “XV
Certamen de Artes plásticas CEC”.
Como escritora, se formó en el taller literario del escritor Jorge
Sagrera. Ha obtenido distinciones
literarias internacionales que le han permitido publicar cuentos y
microrrelatos en importantes editoriales de Argentina, España y Uruguay.

Ms. Moyano Vargas’ sculptures
are made primarily of plaster and recyclable materials. Her work provokes
reflection on the human being and the current context. She took sculpture
classes in the workshop of the municipality of San Pedro, in the Regional University
Center of San Pedro, Buenos Aires, and participated in sculpture workshops with
live model in the Assoc. Fine Art Stimulus of the Autonomous City of Buenos
Aires.
Ms. Moyano Vargas is a
Self-taught painter. Her abstract paintings, characterized by their wavy lines
and vivid colors, suggest a world in constant change and movement. Shee held
individual and collective exhibitions in her home country and participated in a
collective exhibition in Cádiz, Spain, for his sculpture "Siglo XXI" selected
in the "XV Certamen de Artes plásticas CEC".
As a writer, she trained in
the literary workshop of the writer Jorge Sagrera. Ms. Moyano Vargas has
obtained international literary distinctions that have allowed her to publish
stories and narratives in important publishing houses in Argentina, Spain and
Uruguay.
