Artistes Residencies Application 2012
 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES 
·         Must be 21 or older
·         Must have good command of Spanish and/or English
·         Must have experience in an artistic field.
PRESENTATION          
To be considered, candidates must present a portfolio with the following (in PDF format):
·         Letter of intention (under 600 words)
·         CV including professional, personal and artistic experience
·         A minimum of 3 images of past work (JPEG, TIF, PNG, GIF) Please limit videos to     less than 5 minutes(avi, mpeg, quicktime, wav, mp3 ).
APPLICATION AND PROJECT PRESENTATION PERIODS:
·         Project portfolios must be received by April 30th.
·         Results of application will be announced by May 11th
·         Payments must be made by June 1st

20 days – from July 23, 2012 through August 11, 2012

DESCRIPTION OF RESIDENCY SETTING
Established rural setting with primitive accommodations (running water and electricity available)
RESOURCES
· More than 400 hectares of agricultural and livestock land, grass, reforested areas, ponds, horses, local flora and fauna. 
· Native fruit garden
· Kitchen
· Traditional cooking
· Limited internet access, computers provided by participants.
ACCOMMODATION

Participants interested in organizing workshops are invited to submit a proposal.
Residency Fee:
· Peruvian Residents:2800 Peruvian Nuevo soles. 50% discount to Peruvian Amazon based artists.

· International: 3500 Peruvian Nuevo Soles (approx. 1300 USD depending on exchange rates)

THIS COVERS:
. Lecture on Shipibo-Conibo Art
· Transportation to and from local airport to residency.
· Additional residency related transportation.
· 3 meals per day - local traditional cooking
· Pucallpa City art tour
· Use of horses
· Mandatory farm clothing (rubber boots, rain poncho, etc)
· Fetching art materials in Pucallpa city if necessary

DOES NOT COVER:
· Air or bus tickets.
· Medical insurance.
· Materials and tools to carry out personal projects.
· Domestic or international telephone calls.

ESTO INCLUYE:

• Conferencia sobre arte Shipibo - Conibo
• El transporte hacia y desde el aeropuerto local a la residencia.
• Transporte adicional para necesidades especificas de la residencia.
• 3 comidas al día - Cocina tradicional local
• Tour artístico por la ciudad de Pucallpa
• El uso de caballos
• Ropa de granja obligatoria (botas de goma, poncho para la lluvia, etc)
• Obtención de materiales de arte en la ciudad de Pucallpa, si fuese necesario.

• Billetes de avión o autobús.
• Seguro médico.
• Materiales y herramientas para llevar a cabo proyectos personales.
