Artistes Residencies
Centro Selva is happy to present the first artist residency program of the Central Peruvian Amazon.
This residency program seeks to create and encourage the exchange between Amazon based artists and foreign artists in search of mutual enrichment.  
It seeks to create opportunities for artists in the Amazon region to work with international artists, and to utilize new spaces to expand their own artistic possibilities, as well as to  provide international artists the chance to study and create in a unique and culturally rich area of the world.
The CS residency is an artist run program.  In seeking to involve the local artist community, a percentage of the international participant’s contributions will go towards a fund aiding the participation of local artists.




Centro Selva Residency includes:
During your stay, we will have a city tour of Pucallpa, with special interest in the art spaces that the city offers, such as Eduardo Meza Saravia Art School, Pucallpa Cultural Center, Usco Ayar (art school funded by the renowned artist Pablo Amaringo), etc. We will also have a tour of the Campo Verde district.
You will be able to participate of a coference on Shipibo-Conibo art, by Diana Riesco-Lind author of the thesis: Shipibo – Conibo survivors, artistic development and influences of a living culture, from drawing to painting.
You will have access to 400 hectares of agricultural and livestock lands, reforested areas, lakes, horses, local flora and fauna and receive a tour of these lands. 
A local cook will prepare three meals per day, where you will be able to see the preparation of local dishes which will be part of the menu. 
In the residency, you will share spaces with fellow artists, and develop your personal or group projects. 
We encourage you to share your knowledge with colleagues and propose a workshop while you are with us. 
At the end of the residency, we will have an exhibition in the city of Pucallpa.

If you would like to receive additional conferences during your stay in Centro Selva, we will gladly coordinate them for you and invite experts in the field of interest. (These additional activities are not included in the general budget; the prices will be determined by the specialist, and will be covered by all those who wish to participate).

Residencias para Artistas
CS se complace en presentar el primer programa de residencias para artistas de la Amazonía central peruana.
Este programa de residencias busca crear y animar el intercambio entre artistas de raíces amazónicas y artistas extranjeros en busca de un enriquecimiento mutuo.
Se trata de crear oportunidades para los artistas de la región amazónica de trabajar con artistas internacionales, y utilizar nuevos espacios para ampliar sus propias posibilidades artísticas, también ofrecer a los artistas internacionales la oportunidad de estudiar y crear en un lugar único y culturalmente rico del mundo.
 La residencia CS es un programa dirigido por artistas. Al tratar de involucrar comunidad artística local, un porcentaje de las contribuciones de los participantes internacionales se destinará a un fondo para ayudar a la participación de artistas locales. 




Residencia Centro Selva incluye:

Durante tu estadía, tendremos un city tour en la ciudad de Pucallpa, con énfasis en los espacios de desarrollo de arte, como la Escuela de Arte Eduardo Meza Saravia, el Centro Cultural de Pucallpa, Usco Ayar (Escuela de Arte Fundada por el reconocido pintor Pablo Amaringo), etc.  Tambiés haremos un recorrido por el distrito de Campo Verde. 

Podrás participar de una conferencia sobre arte Shipibo-Conibo a cargo de la artista Diana Riesco Lind, autora de la tesis Shipibo-Conibo Sobrevivientes. Desarrollo artístico e influencias de una cultura viva, del dibujo a la pintura. 

Tendrás a tu disposición más de 400 hectáreas de tierras agro ganaderas, pastos, áreas reforestadas, lagunas, caballos, flora y fauna local. Se hará un tour guiado por estas tierras. 
La alimentación estará a cargo de una cocinera local, que ofrecerá tres comidas diarias, y podrás ver la preparación de platos típicos de la región amazónica.
En la residencia, compartirás los espacios con colegas artistas, y desarrollarás proyectos personales y grupales. Además, te animamos para que compartas tus propios conocimientos con los colegas residentes y propongas algún taller durante tu estadía.   
Al  final de la residencia, se realizará una exhibición en la ciudad de Pucallpa.

Centro Selva recomienda:
Si deseas recibir alguna conferencia extra durante tu estadía en Centro Selva, se puede coordinar para llevar a conocedores del rubro para que nos dicten algún curso específico. (Estas actividades extras no están presupuestadas; sus precios estarán sujetos a las exigencias del profesor específico y el costo estará cubierto por todos los que deseen participar de dicha actividad.)

Algunas actividades sugeridas son las siguientes:
- Visita a comunidad Shipibo-Conibo.
- Mitos amazónicos.
- Plantas medicinales.
- Taller sobre diseño Shipibo.
